A Weekend Getaway
I am so excited. Next weekend we are going "home" to Winlock for their famous Egg Days and my 10 year class reunion. I haven't been to Egg Days in nearly 10 years, and I am excited to see everyone from school. (Side note: I am from a town of about 1000 and had a graduating class of 45.) I wish we had more time so we could go to the beach, zoo and a ton of other places too, but this one will be a fairly quick trip. Leave Friday, come back Monday, so only two days at home. One is the Egg Day parade and reunion, the other is church and visiting a couple old friends. I will try to take some pictures and post them when we get back.

He's got what? Why I'm so tired
Austin got a cold a couple weeks ago, and it was getting better only to get worse. I took him to the doctor Thursday and he's wheezing (He does that when he gets sick). He's got croup and an ear infection in both ears. And he cut a tooth yesterday. No wonder he has been king of the grumps and I am way past sleep deprived. He went to bed at 8:30 last night, fairly normal, and woke up at 4am. 4!!!! He was fairly content to stay in bed until 5, so I got a couple more minutes of sleep, but not enough to count for anything. I fed him and gave him a nebulizer treatment and got him back down at 6. I went back down too, but being as exhausted as I am, I slept horribly, waking constantly.
Then, after his nap and he had a proper breakfast, he sat in his high chair while Zach and I ate. We were getting him ready to get out and he had something on his pant leg that looked like breakfast. Since he "fed" himself about half, it was possible, but I wondered how it got all the way down there. When we got him out, we saw it went all the way up and was on both sides of his diapered tushy. It got darker higher up. So I put him in the bath, stripped him down and he got a bath this morning. I had been warned about this since he's on amoxicillin. What a day already.
Well, he's grumpy and Zach is leaving for work in a couple minutes, so I'm going to stumble off to play Zombie Mom. Wish me luck.

New Moon: New Thoughts
It's getting better. Sure Bella still whines too much, "Oh, there's a hole in my chest where Edward used to be, blah blah blah." But this book had more adventure in it than the last one. It wasn't just a girl mooning over a guy, and him telling her he was bad news. We've all heard that one before. Ok, so it happens again in this book. But this one has vampires and werewolves. Mortal, er, immortal, both? enemies. Anyway, I hope they pair up in the next book to fight some common more-evil-than-they-are evil. Anyway, I'm not coherent right now, seeing as Austin's been sick and I have gotten less than the recommended amount of sleep for I don't know how long. I had this better written in my head after I finished the book, but I can't remember it now in my zombie-like state. But anyway, I give it a B.

What's All The Fuss About? My Take On Twilight
I read Twilight in two days. I am a fast reader by nature and was in the middle of an interesting, yet boring and slow book, so the change in pace was welcome. Twilight was ok. Nothing more, nothing less. I don't understand why everyone is obsessed with this book. I have no yearning desire to go buy the next two in the series this very second. I probably will get them in the near future, just to read them, but really, if I never do, I won't care. The first one didn't really end with me wondering (or even caring) what happens next. I don't want to spoil anything for those of you that haven't read it, but the most interesting part was involving the tracker, and I found it too short and uncomplicated. I could have written that storyline in fifth grade. It lacked punch; it lacked pizazz; it lacked suspense. And as for Bella, what a stupid romantic. Come on girl, get a brain and a backbone. She is completely run by her emotions and they are all to intense for my liking. I make fun of girls like that, and I make fun of you Bella. Well, I would really like to rant on the story more completely, but this fragmented bit is enough so I don't ruin anything for anyone. But if you want my opinion, I give it a C.

Videos
I'll post more later, but I wanted to get this up for my parents. First, we tempted him with Em's phone. He loves phones and remotes. He moved his legs twice, then flopped. We did it again and he crawled a couple "crawls"?? and we cheered so loud, so he flopped. Then I added the cupcake (and a bite of frosting!), off he went. He loves food. Go Buzza!
This is another one that I've been wanting to get filmed and up here for you to see. First on it is one of Austin's favorite things to do, and the next is something he started with Grandpa Adams, and it always makes me laugh.
Ok, we gotta go show G&G Adams he can CRAWL!!! Yay, just over ten months, finally!!
